The use of it can not only make up for the burning of carbon during the steel smelting process, and ensure the demand for carbon content steel of specific brands. , And can also be used to adjust, as an important raw material for induction furnace molten iron, the quality and use of recarburizer directly affect the state of molten iron.

Recarburizer


It is often used for smelting furnace charge pig iron, scrap steel, recycle charge, iron and carbon content, but the purchase price of scrap is relatively high. Therefore, the recarburizer for converter steelmaking and reducing the amount of pig iron can play a role in reducing the cost of castings. If the particle size of the recarburizer is too fine, it is easy to burn; if the particle size is too coarse, it floats on the surface of the molten steel and is not easily absorbed by the molten steel. The grain size of the induction furnace is 0.2-6mm, of which the grain size of ferrous metals such as steel is 1.4-9.5mm, and the high carbon steel requires low nitrogen, and the grain size is 0.5-5mm. Specific judgments and selections should be made according to the specific types and other details of furnace type smelting workpieces.


Recarburizer


As the name suggests, the products of recarburizer manufacturers increase the carbon content in the molten iron. For example, they are often used to smelt pig iron, scrap, reheating material, and iron with high carbon content, but the purchase price of scrap is relatively high. Therefore, the supply of scrap is increased and the supply of pig iron is reduced. The amount of recarburizer can play a role in reducing the cost of castings.


During the smelting process, due to improper ingredients or feeding, too much decarburization, the carbon content of the steel does not meet the peak period requirements, carbon should be added to the molten steel. Commonly used recarburizers are recarburized pig iron, electrode powder, petroleum coke powder, charcoal powder and coke powder. In the converter smelting of medium and high-carbon steel, petroleum coke with less impurities is used as a recarburizer. The requirements of the recarburizer are high fixed carbon content, low ash, volatile matter, sulfur, phosphorus, nitrogen and other impurities, dry, clean, and moderate particle size.


The main component of the recarburizer is carbon, which is mainly used in steel smelting and casting. In the smelting process, due to factors such as smelting time and overheating time, the carbon element in the molten iron will be consumed too much, resulting in a reduction of the carbon content in the molten iron and affecting product quality. Therefore, the carbonaceous substances added to make up for the carbon content produced by combustion in the steel smelting process are called recarburizers.
